How to Read Your Percentage of Collections Month-End Report

This article applies only to providers paid under the Percentage of Collections model. The month-end report shows income recorded during the reporting month, which may relate to appointments from earlier months. It is not a statement of every appointment held that month. Providers in the Fixed Payout Group receive a different payout statement and are not responsible for insurance collections.

Your monthly invoice and income report
Your invoice reflects Help Therapy’s billing fee on collections recorded for the reporting period. The SimplePractice Income Allocation Report lists insurance and patient payments recorded during that month. Compare its entries with your invoice and let billing@helptherapy.com know about any questions or missing payments. Insurance payment dates can differ from dates of service, so a prior month’s appointment may appear in this month’s income.

Unlocked appointments
If you use SimplePractice, you may also receive an Unlocked Appointments Report. It identifies appointments with notes that have not been finalized. Review it for completed sessions and sign and lock the notes when ready for billing. An unlocked note does not signal that the encounter is ready for Help Therapy to submit.

Legacy Tebra account activity
If you have older claims still being resolved in Tebra, you may receive an Account Activity Report. The date of service and service code identify the encounter; charges show the amount billed; payments show amounts recorded; adjustments reflect reductions or corrections; and balance shows an amount still outstanding. A balance does not by itself establish what the patient owes. Contact our billing team if an adjustment or balance needs explanation.

Insurance correspondence
You do not need to send EOBs to Help Therapy every week. You may forward EOBs if helpful. Please promptly forward insurance letters affecting claims or payments, especially recoupments, takebacks, denials, or requests for information, to billing@helptherapy.com. Please direct patients with payment questions to our billing team rather than collecting independently.
